Please welcome our thrilling new edition to the Acura family – the redesigned 2019 Acura RDX! We got a sneak peek at this stunning new vehicle for just a few hours yesterday afternoon. If you are looking for a quick, sporty and stylish new ride, the 2019 RDX needs to be on your must-see (and drive!) list.
The first feature we loved about the new RDX was the bright and aggressive diamond pentagon grille, the distinctive signature of all redesigned Acura models. It’s fresh, eye-catching, and youthful, visually expressing Acura’s desire to expand its market to include first-time or Gen-Y buyers. The headlights are sharp and crystal-bright, with seven Jewel Eye LEDs instead of the former five. The upswept lines along the side panels and
sloped rear windows give the vehicle a sense of motion even while parked. Standard 19-inch wheels add
to the sporty appearance, but for those who want an edgier look, 20-inch wheels will be available on the
A-Spec package.
Now — we go under the hood. Acura is pleased to debut a segment-first 10-speed automatic transmission,
paired with a 2.0-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine. The increase from 6 to 10 gears yields smoother
transitions between gears and greater responsiveness, while the turbocharged engine pumps out
272 horsepower and 280 pounds/feet. of torque for increased power. In addition, Super Handling All-Wheel
Drive [SH-AWD] improves grip on the road in a variety of driving conditions and will be available on all trim packages. Drivers of the new RDX will likely find these changes exhilarating!
Inside the vehicle, another feature brand new to the Acura line-up (and the market!) is the True Touchpad Interface. Acura engineers went back to the drawing board to develop this system and designed it to make Our Sales Team in the 2019 Acura RDX: [Front to Back: Edgar Murphy, Chanel Norman, Adham Mehri, & Vinny Musewu ]
interacting with technology both safer and more intuitive while driving. Sit in the driver’s seat of the new RDX
and you will find a comfortable wrist rest beneath the touchpad, which operates with one-finger taps and is mapped to correlate to the 10.2-inch display on the dashboard. The touchpad keeps the driver’s hands closer to the wheel and eliminates the need to lean forward to reach atouch screen. Available with the Technology package, Natural Voice Recognition makes your voice command experience less rigid and more casual. With other features like AcuraLink, SiriusXM Radio, and Apple CarPlay standard on all models, we are confident the new RDX will exceed your tech expectations!
