It's hard to believe its bee three years since Acura evolved it's mid-sized TL sedan into the current technology showcase.

The retouches on the exterior are slight and meant to lightly change the appearance of the grille and tail light areas.  The TL's interior gets numerous noise, harshness, and vibration improvements.  Acura has even seen fit to include a new 60-gigabyte hard-drive based entertainment and navigation system that they say provides even more functionality than the already impressive sound and navigation system.

Big news on the transmission front.  The 2012 TL features a 6 speed automatic that should give fans a "that's more like it" driving experience.  And yes, if you prefer a more direct connection to the driving experience, you can still request a sweet six speed manual, but only on the SH_AWD models.  There's even a new piece of technology here as well... the engineers at Acura call it a torque-vectoring all-wheel-drive system.  Even though the 6 speed manual options will be sold in limited numbers, those who try this new AWD & transmission combination should fall in love with it.
